On this edition of Grace and Truth listen as Craig and Paul discuss the impending Supreme Court ruling on gay-marriage and the latest attacks in Nigeria by terrorist group Boko Haram

Boko Haram

The Islamic terrorist organization Boko Haram, who is affiliated with Al Qaeda and ISIS, continues to make their presence felt following a serious of attacks on marketplaces in Nigeria.

This fresh wave of attacks by Boko Haram is a response directed at the new President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who has vowed to destroy Boko Haram.

Buhari has described Boko Haram as godless and not a true reflection of Islam. Like ISIS who seeks to establish a Muslim caliphate in the Middle East, Boko Haram seeks to establish their own caliphate, in Nigeria.

They have shown repeatedly that they are willing to use any means necessary to accomplish their goal.

How can I pray?

•  Pray that God would stop the advance of Boko Haram.

•  Pray that the hearts and minds of Boko Haram would be opened and receive the gospel.

•  For the victims of the attacks in Nigeria.

Same-sex marriage

The Supreme Court is just a month away from coming to a decision on whether same-sex marriage should be a constitutionally protected right for all Americans.

Even if the Supreme Court decides to establish same-sex marriage as a constitutional right, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for those who seek to retain the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.

The will of the people is more important than the opinion of the nine judges that make up the Supreme Court, their word is not final and can be changed.

Instead of responding in anger, Paul and Craig encourage Christians to engage the truth in love.

“You can’t just fight politically, you have to engage with the hearts and the minds of the people in your culture.”

How can I pray?

•  Wisdom for the American people and our leaders.

•  Wisdom for Supreme Court.
