Recently our pastor preached on the healing of the blind man from John 9. My guess is that you know the story – Jesus and His disciples while still in Jerusalem encounter a man born blind from birth; after some interaction Jesus winds up making some mud from spittle; places it on the blind man’s eyes and when he washes it off, he can see.

It’s an amazing account of Jesus’ healing power, but what is interesting to me and pointed out by my pastor was that it started out as a theological question and debate. In John 9:2 the Bible records,

“His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

Sadly, isn’t that where many of us find ourselves today? We look at people and judge them on their issues or problems rather than seeing them as spiritually blind and in need of a savior. We ask, are they liberal or conservative? Republicans or Democrats? Pro-choice or Pro-life? When in reality, our first concern should be to see them as people for whom Christ died.

Faith Radio exists to help believers connect faith to life and a part of that mission is to encourage you and equip you to share the good news in a grace-filled, loving way that sees people as Christ sees them!
