Is Jesus really all you need?

We’re so used to hearing variations on the cliched phrase, “Jesus is all I need.”

Well – is that really true? In some senses — yes. But Christ’s design for his church was to have his followers partake in community — so why do so many Christians seem lonely and depressed?

Author and pastor Dustin Willis says many people — Christians included — live a simple, depressing existence of getting up in the morning, going to work, coming back home, and washing, rinsing, and repeating. Willis says this type of livelihood (or lack thereof) is something Christ never intended for his followers. What’s keeping us from being involved in a church community at a deeper and more meaningful level?

Willis explores this phenomena in his new book,  He joined Dr. Bill Maier Live! to talk more about how to pull yourself out of the ‘routine’, and into community with other believers.
