MIND: Over the weekend I was taking my teenage son for a sleepover and he made an absent-minded choice of placing his computer bag behind the car (for whatever reason) while he ran back inside the house to grab something. In the meantime…Yes, you may have guessed it. I backed the car out of the garage running right over the computer. I cringed as soon as I realized it, but at that point it was too late. The damage had already been done – all due to an “absent-minded” action.

BODY: How many times have you made poor eating choices because you went about your day absent-minded? Not thinking of what you’re consuming – just shoveling in whatever is convenient? Mindlessly “backing over” something of great value…in this case, your health! The problem is that the damage has already been done with the added empty calories from unhealthy fat, sugar, or carbohydrates. In order to live a life of best health and to be Visibly Fit™, you must give up the foods you “want or crave” and instead choose to eat the foods that fuel your body best. That may not sound enjoyable at the moment, but you would be surprised at how much better you will feel by eating a clean God-given diet. Ditch the processed foods and those that are high in sugar. As the saying goes…”The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.”

SPIRIT: Even Jesus gives us a choice…in Mark 8:34 He says, “If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me.”

SO…Fitting in the crowd or standing out for Christ? Which do you choose and what choices are you making on a daily basis in all areas of your live that back up your personal answer? Your choices do matter. Choose with an eternal focus in mind.
