This week, we have a very special show for all of you. We asked our team to take a few minutes and tell you their favorite Christmas story or memory. Some are rather amusing and others just warm memories of good times. I’m sharing a poem I wrote a few years ago. Here’s a part of it:

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, but I felt like a louse!
As I gazed at the packages all in a row, I was aghast!
The tree looked bulimic due to my past.
I slumped to the floor and grabbed hold of my man,
We have only two children. There’s enough here for ten!

We stared at the swollen piles of toys
Surely this is too much for one girl and boy!
Slowly we picked through the huge bulging pile,
This one can wait for a little more while.
One for next year, maybe one for a treat,
Whittling the stack, our eyes again meet,

You will have to listen to hear the rest!

We end our Christmas show with my husband reading the biblical account of the Christmas story. That story, the true meaning of Christmas never gets old.

So to all of you who so faithfully listen to our show, and to those of you who may be discovering us for the first time, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May the Lord bless you in the new year.
