Artistry, race, and empathy – Carmen LaBerge | God’s grace in a maximum security prison – Daniel DeWitt

Carmen LaBerge reflects on a controversy where a very talented artist lost the opportunity to do a Harriet Tubman statue in Philadelphia because he was not African-American.  The deeper issue is whether we can empathize through our ethnic differences or not.

Theolatte‘s Daniel DeWitt recounts his recent visit as a professor at a seminary within the walls of a Texas maximum security prison.  He share stories about the people he met, seeing how God redeems those others have thrown away.
