Dr. Richard Winter grew up in England and trained in medicine at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and then in psychiatry in Bristol. He was also a counselor, teacher, and leader at the English L’Abri and associate pastor of a church in Hampshire for some years before moving to the United States in 1992 to head the counseling program at Covenant Seminary.
Dr. Winter’s research interests have been at the interface of psychology, medicine, and theology. Each year he travels to Hungary to teach at the European Leadership Forum and has a deep interest in cross cultural counseling. He is the author of titles including:

Dr. Winter and his wife, Jane, have four children and seven grandchildren.
