Bethany Hoang is an author and speaker with a driving passion to help others live the connection between justice and following Jesus. Bethany has served for more than a decade as Advisor and Founding Director for IJM’s Institute for Biblical Justice.

Bethany has received recognition for leadership in the justice movement by Christianity Today (one of “50 Women To Watch”), Outreach! and Relevant Magazine, the White House, as well as organizations such as Catalyst, Q Ideas, Urbana, Lausanne, and Ideation.

Bethany’s publications include Deepening the Soul for Justice and forthcoming The Justice Calling: Where Passion Meets Perseverance with coauthor Kristen Deede Johnson, in addition to essays, articles, and biblical notes/commentary.

Bethany holds a B.A. in Religion and History from Miami University of Ohio, and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she received the distinguished Fellowship in Theology. Born and raised on the East Coast, she now lives with her husband, two kids, and a puppy in Minneapolis, MN.
