Listen as Susie’s good friend Dr. Greg Smalley joins the program to field your questions on life and relationships!

Sometimes life is like climbing a mountain – you need strength along the journey. Greg and his daughters needed hope and endurance when they climbed a peak in Colorado (see photo below!). Hope is an important key in all of life, and Greg spends time today unpacking that topic – hope in marriages, hope in friendships, and hope in the life to come.

Greg offers a number of tips to those who are feeling hopeless:

Recognize spiritual warfare in this season.

Remember that your spouse is your teammate, not your enemy – when you walk side-by-side it prevents you from fighting each other.

Persevere even in the “sleety seasons” of life – couples who persevere in the hard seasons are statistically happier than the couples who decide to end the relationship and look for another spouse.

Build a strong support system around you and your marriage for days when you want to give up.

Be willing to be used by God to minister to others with your story.
