Don Rupp (ret.) has been with Northwestern Media since 1970. During his time at Northwestern, his roles included announcing, public affairs programming, director of operations, KTIS manager and executive director of the network news operation.

Don Rupp launched the “Faith Report” in 1998; an hourly news report carried on Northwestern’s satellite network. Rupp’s work in broadcast journalism included the establishment of the Minnesota News Hotline (a news service for Minnesota religious radio stations); the coordination of a White House conference call for religious radio stations; and the distribution of “Faith News” to listeners and organizations. He taught news journalism at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul and North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In 2000, Rupp coordinated satellite radio news coverage for the Billy Graham’s conference for 10,000 itinerant evangelists in Amsterdam. He directed media news coverage for the 1996 Billy Graham crusade in Minneapolis, Minnesota and he coordinated media coverage of Promise Keepers during their conferences in St. Paul, Minnesota. Rupp also carried out news coverage of InterVarsity’s Urbana Conference at the University of Illinois. Rupp has been a regular contributor to AP Radio News and has received the News Award from United Press International. He has been a member of the Radio and Television News Directors Association and the Society for Broadcast Journalists.
