Colin Holtz is a Baptist seminarian, writer and campaigner working to build a more just and inclusive church, economy, and society. He is the co-author, along with Dr. David Gushee, of Moral Leadership for a Divided Age: 14 People Who Dared to Change Our World

A recovering political strategist, he has written on behalf of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Van Jones, and worked with MoveOn.org, CNN Crossfire, CREDO Action, and Faithful America, among others. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University.

Colin has served as Senior Communications Counselor at Dream Corps, and as Senior Advisor to Faithful America, the largest online community of progressive Christians. He currently consults on economic and financial campaigns for major campaigning organizations.

Until 2011, Colin served as National Campaigns Director at Rebuild the Dream, where he directed issue campaigns and digital strategy for the progressive economic non-profit. Previously, as a Senior Strategist at M+R Strategic Services, he designed and executed advocacy campaign plans and led the writing team.

Colin has also served as Senior Email Campaigner for Advocacy and Elections at Organizing for America during the health reform fight, and as Internet Director for Joe Sestak’s 2006 congressional campaign.
