David Bereit started the 40 Days for Life prayer outreach as an effort to mobilize his community to stand together in prayer as an answer to Planned Parenthood’s establishing an abortion business in his town of College Station, Texas. What began as a local organization of church and community leaders has now expanded to all 50 states and 19 foreign countries.
