We follow the God of the Bible. But do our lives really reflect that? On the Tuesday edition of Live the Promise Susie is joined by Jeff and Kristie Kerr. We talk about how to live in a Christ-like way as Jeff and Kristie share their music.

Great is the Lord
This song is based on the themes of Psalm 8 and the majesty of God.

Ever Be
Kristie sings this Bethel song as a reminder of the faithfulness of God.

“Our son Charlie was born 12 weeks premature and I remember going through 10 weeks in the NICU… We watched the Lord miraculously heal him. No matter how hard things get I have this underlying gratitude for the Lord and what He has done for me.”

I Am Not Alone
Kristie sings this Kari Jobe song with a heart of encouragement. In recent years God called Jeff and Kristie to resign from their ministry roles and step into a new season.

“I’ve never had my faith questioned more. Looking back now, I see how much He needed to refine me. We learned what it meant to trust Him. We didn’t know how we were going to make it, [but] no one went hungry.”

The Kerrs planted a church south of the Twin Cities this year and can see God’s hand in the whole process.

Great is Your Faithfulness
Jeff points out the bridge he wrote for this song.

“Jesus, You are my shelter, provider, savior, redeemer… You are all I need.”

Come Thou Fount
Jeff says that whether a song is new or old, the important thing is that it honors God and invites others to join the worship.

Jeff, pastor of Homestead Community Church in Farmington, leaves a final word – choose the journey.

“When you make a decision to follow Christ, that’s your starting point.” The life of faith is a long road of joy, trial, and sanctification with God’s promise to be with you every step of the way.
