Book of the Beginnings part 30 | The subtle sin of fear of man – Marshall Segal
We continue our study of Genesis with David Wheaton in this episode David reviews Genesis 48 and 49 and then raps up the Book of the Beginnings with Genesis 50. In this last chapter we encounter the consequence of sin and the importance of mourning, and remembering God’s promises. Then author and managing editor of desiringGod.org, Marshall Segal, joins us to discuss the bitter fruit of fearing man as discussed in Jeremiah 17:5-8. Marshall teaches through Isaiah 8: 13-14 that the way out of fear of man is to fear to God.
