Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humble with your God?

What God requires of us is nothing compared to the sacrifice He made for us. To send his only Begotten Son to die on the cross for humans, who don’t even deserve his Grace or Mercy. All he requires is that we treat people fairly with love, kindness, compassion and to be loyal in our love towards one another, and to walk humbly with him in obedience. He shows his love each and every day when he gives us the gift of life to see another day. How can we as new creatures in Christ not show the love of Christ that we have on the inside to one another? When people upset us or treat us wrong we are quick to dismiss them, or sit in judgement of them. We look down on them if they aren’t where we are in our lives. Doesn’t sound Christ like to me. We all deserve to be treated with the same respect, love, compassion, kindness, loyalty and forgiveness that God has placed on the inside of us. When we become new creatures in Christ we become Christ like in every way. He has shown us through his love how love is supposed to be given. We fall short of the Glory of God; however he has never given up on us, or stopped loving us, or blessing us. Through him we have the ability, knowledge, courage and understanding to be just like Him in every aspect of our lives if we so choose.
1 John 3:16 “we know what love is because Jesus Christ gave his life for us. Therefore, we should give our lives for our brothers and sisters.” We never know what someone else, may be going through, to show kindness goes a long way. I experienced kindness by a total stranger as I write and in an instant God restored my faith and kindness in humanity.
He has given us the tools we need to live and survive in this world and it all starts with love. Love conquers all; if we can love each other like God loves us unconditionally we would be able to move those mountains that seem to always get in our way. Love has the power to change circumstances, heal hearts, minds, bodies and souls. Let’s embrace that loving spirit that God has instilled in us since the day we were in our mothers’ womb. Do we realize how many times God could have given up on us? Or withheld his love for us? We would never survive without his love. God never gives up on us so why should we give up on our brothers and sisters? We need to consider those who are without love and trying to survive on their own. We are God’s children and should be treated with love, kindness, respect, humility, and dignity. We are worthy of love.
Are we doing what God is requiring of us to do? Are we loving our fellow brothers and sisters as God has instructed us to do? Or are we sitting in judgement of others? Are we showing compassion to those who are less fortunate? If so it’s hard to see the love of Christ manifesting in the world if we are on different pages of love. God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit intertwine to work together to make a difference in our lives. If we all do our part maybe the Love of God will be seen in every person throughout this world. We shouldn’t be silent in our loving Christ or each other, he hasn’t been silent in His love for us. Ephesians 5:1-2, “you are the children that God loves. So be like him lead a life of love, just as Christ did. He gave himself up for us. He was a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.” God has given us the road map of love, when are we going to take the time to invest in reading and living the map of love and life?
