Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Originally known as Decoration Day, this holiday originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many of us will observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades.

On behalf of all us at Faith Radio, I would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of our veterans, past and present, for their sacrificial service to our nation and to each of us.  We are forever indebted to God and you for your faithful service.

I would also like to take this moment to remember all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the cause of freedom.  We not only remember them, but their families and friends who equally sacrificed in the loss of their loved ones in this great American experiment founded so long ago.

As you make plans for Memorial Day weekend, I do hope that you will take a few moments in your own way to honor and remember those brave men and women who have died in the cause of freedom.  May God bless you and may God bless America.
