Every season of life has a beginning, a middle, and a finish. When we’re between the commissioning and the consummation, it can feel like the end will never come. Listen as international speaker Charlotte Gambill shares what she’s learned about persevering in faith in the midway point of every journey.

In Charlotte’s book,  , she walks through the challenges we face in the middle of a journey.

“When you begin anything, whether it’s a marriage or a business – or a book! – you’re full of vision, you’re excited… [before] you finally complete it, the joy that comes with completion, there’s this massive period called the middle when many people just never make it through. They get stuck or begin to believe the middle is their end instead of their passing-through place.”

Charlotte shares what we can remember and focus on when in the places of waiting and hoping.

• You committed to a long haul. Not everything is going to be fixed overnight.

• Press record. “Press record on the clarity you received at the start of the journey.”

• Choose to plant your “sorrow seed” and serve others in your pain, and God will bring fruit at the right time.

• “When things don’t look like we think we should look, we become a cleaner for God.” Don’t try to control or corral God’s miracles. Step back and allow Him to work! “Sometimes we expect God to follow us, our initiative, our ministry… we’ve got to slow down and realize it’s our job to follow Him.”

• Your internal posture is crucial to your external success.

• Develop a peace that doesn’t come from gratification but from your identity.
