Are you walking through trial? Does it seem like the battle doesn’t end and any time you get your feet under you another crisis comes knocking?

Worship can be a powerful tool for the believer going through trials. Musician and songwriter Mark Alan knows this well. He leads worship at Emmanuel Christian Center in the Twin Cities and has walked with many people through the valley. He shares a word of encouragement for those who are going through trial.

“Hang on. The battle is over; He’s already won it. But our fight has just begun.”

When everything around us is crumbling, something shifts in the spiritual realm and we can stand and say “God is my Rock”.

“There is hope and there’s joy and there’s calm that we can find in Jesus in the midst of a world that’s swirling.”

When everything is crazy, we have to actively seek out intimate moments with God. it is there that our soul is anchored. Are you anchoring your soul in the Word and in Him?

“We have to have an anchor point. We have to have something to grab a hold to.”

Mark shares a song for those who have gone through trials recently. It is an encouragement to those who are in the midst of the battle.

“There is a joy in the sadness.
Giving you strength in life.
There is a grace that is given
It’s guarding your heart and your mind.

So lift your eyes to the hills, it’s where your help comes from

And hang on
Daughter and son, hang on
Your battle is over but your fight’s just begun, so hang on
And lift your eyes to the hills, it’s where your help comes from
And hang on” – Hang On
