ISIS is on the move – but so is the Holy Spirit. On the Wednesday edition of Live the Promise Jerry Trousdale joins us to share how God is moving to bring thousands of Muslims to faith in Christ around the world.

Jerry urges us to first view Muslims with compassion.

“They’re trapped in a worldview. And they inherited that worldview. There are people in the world who have not had a Jesus option. Nobody could have imagined a few years ago that a movement – at least 100 churches to the third generation – [would happen]. We don’t take any credit for that. We helped set in motion things the Lord did by participating in kingdom ministries. There’s now hundreds of martyrs. This is their story.”

When we’re seeking to make disciples, we can follow the Lord’s prayer.

“Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours now and forever.”

Jerry points out that when we operate with a kingdom mindset, we’re able to walk in authority and humility as we share our faith with others and let God work in their hearts.

God is in fact working in the hearts of Muslims. Jerry shares three basic themes their dreams tend to follow.

“Usually the dreams take the shape of a person in a white robe and they ‘just knew’ it was Jesus. Another dream people have is the picture of the Koran and the Bible and the juxtaposition of a fruitful place [the Bible] and an arid place [the Koran]. The third type of dream is a vision of heaven and hell. Or a word from Jesus saying ‘You’re on the wrong path.’ It’s a shocking dream and they immediately seek to discover what it means to be a Christ-follower.”

How can we reach out to those in the Muslim faith?

• Ask God to begin making them hungry or giving them dreams.

• Build relationships with Muslims.
