When you turn your life over to Christ, the enemy of our soul tries to derail your faith journey. He uses a number of tools to do that, including fear, discouragement, suspicion, and doubt. We look at what it means to take back your land as Susie unpacks a message from her book, .

• Sexual abuse and past griefs:

Susie shares her own experience working through the sexual abuse of her past with her husband.

“He said, ‘This isn’t just my loss; this is your loss too.’ That language connected with me and I thought ‘If it’s a loss, then it can be a gain.’ I went after it in prayer and begged God to heal me. And step by step, He did.”

• Financial strife:

“We were hit and miss tithing because of our fear. We got on our knees together and committed. We started to apply biblical principles to our finances and one step at a time we started to grow in our giving.”

• Overcoming bondage

Phase 1: Identify areas of captivity by seeking God. Pray this: “Search me, O God, and know my heart.”

Phase 2: Embrace the promise of freedom. Use Ephesians 6 as a prayer and raise your shield of faith. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have.

Phase 3: Initiate your freedom. Choose to walk in active faith by trusting God, renewing your mind, and committing to walking with others to see God set them free.

Imagine the enemy being shoved off your land. Think of that one corner of your life that he has had access to for years, even decades. Take hold of God’s steadfast promises and declare them over your life. The power of the Word of God sets you free to walk in peace, joy, and love regardless of your circumstances. We serve a freeing God. Test Him in this, and see the heavenly storehouses open.
