Jesus told His followers to be watchful and ready for His return. What does that mean for us today? Listen as Susie welcomes Jeff Kinley of Main Thing Ministries to the program. We explore the sweep of Bible prophecy and how to read the ‘signs of the times’ that signal Jesus’ return.

Jeff has written many books, including I Can Only Imagine and Uncovering the Mysteries of God. He’s especially passionate about preparing Christians for the return of Christ. In his new book, As It Was in the Days of Noah, Jeff unpacks several parallels between the pre-Flood world of Noah and our own society today.

• Open rebellion against morality and restrictions

• Acceptance and celebration of sexual sin and mispractice

• Culture of violence and the lack of respect for human life

• A small committed remnant of believers outnumbered by many who are hostile to their faith

Jeff says, “I think as the story of Noah has been told over the years [we forget that] the main character is not Noah, it’s not his generation, but it’s God alone. He’s the key character. Many times what’s forgotten in this entire story is how God felt about the whole affair. The Bible says that God’s heart was grieved… God’s heart is broken over humanity, this crown of His creation that He’s made and He’s loved and now His entire creation has turned against Him. So it broke the heart of God, and at the same time, because He’s a perfectly balanced God in all of His attributes, He knew that justice had to be done and that His wrath had to come.”
