In his ongoing efforts to discourage and divide Jesus’ followers, Satan doesn’t fight fair. Fortunately our weapons against him are lightweight, portable, and always accessible. Ray Pritchard returns to Faith Radio to talk about how to counter spiritual warfare with prayer and the Word of God.

In Ray’s book, , he lists a number of things to know when we engage the enemy.

First, you have an enemy. He is real, he is cunning, and he is actively working against God’s people. Satan uses asymmetric warfare – this means that we need to guard our strengths as well as our weaknesses. Satan knows both and will not miss the opportunity to trip us.

Each of us is on the front lines – whether we are in a hospital bed, juggling small children, speaking to hundreds of people, or ringing up groceries at the store –  in Ray’s words, we are all called to engage.

“We must stand strong. We must not be surprised when the enemy comes against us. Everybody’s got to advance into battle, praying as we go.”

The division in this country is Satan’s best hope. Unity and prayer disarm him.

Do not allow anger to cross the line into murderous hatred. In your anger, pray – don’t sin.

Our prayers can cross borders and reach into lands that we will never see. Don’t underestimate the power of your prayers to reach cities and countries thousands of miles away. Visas get delayed, and weather can ground planes; God’s jurisdiction has no such boundaries. Worship causes the powers of darkness to flee. Choosing to be thankful and joyful in all circumstances drives Satan from you.
