On this episode of Real Recovery Bill Arnold and George Fraser welcome Pastor Larry Szyman to the show.

In addition to his duties at Faith Community Church, Larry runs a team of 5 volunteers who create the Sheriff’s Chaplain Service in Hudson, WI. These volunteers are on-call to help deputies with the difficult task of dealing with the victims of tragedies.

In tonight’s show Larry expands more on step 11 and how he has seen it in his life. He gives us some practical ways to seek God out daily and how we can give our outcome to God while still putting in the effort needed to accomplish God’s plan in our lives. Larry also shares some of his personal stories serving as Chaplain, drawing parallels between his experiences and the lessons learned that we can apply to our lives.

Seeking out God and His plan for you

Step 11: We need to seek God out regularly in prayer and meditation. We need to not ask “What do I get out of this” but rather to ask God “What do you need me to do?”
