In the days leading up to His death, Jesus made sure His followers were focused on His love and His promise to return.
On this Live the Promise Susie speaks with author and evangelist Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Reverend Billy Graham. Anne talks with us about how prepare our hearts and lives to meet Jesus when He comes again.
She points to five categories of signs that we can see playing out in the world today.
1. The spiritual realm
2. The national realm – since 2009, according to the U.S. government, the number of annual mass shootings have tripled
3. The environmental/natural realm – the increase of earthquakes and floods
4. The personal realm
5. The global realm – wars and rumors of wars
In May 1948, the national of Israel was reborn, and the Jewish people were returned to their homeland for the first time in many centuries. The recent blood moon and the increase of lunar eclipses are signs, heralded by Joel 2:31. Wars and rumors of wars are increasing. Because of the rapid spread of technology, the gospel is currently being preached to the whole world.
For Anne, the urgency is clear. We are to be ready to meet our Lord and live with our eyes open and hearts prepared.
“There are many people out there who have been born again who are bearing fruit.. who have no idea what time it is. I believe He is coming momentarily – I want every area of my life to be lived in such a way so that when I see Him face to face, I have as few regrets as possible.”
She calls Christians not to live with fear – rather, live with expectancy and honor, knowing that we’ll see Jesus. Love your spouse. Take care of your children. Do the little things, the important things, and watch for Jesus.
