How do we balance enjoying and living life with being watchful and alert for Christ’s return?

Listen as Susie talks with Jeff Kinley, author of the book As it was in the Days of Noah, about how to read the signs of the times.

Regarding the historicity of Noah Jeff said,

“Jesus believed in Noah; that pretty much settles it for me. There’s nothing in His dialogue with His disciples to indicate that His allusion to Noah was anything other than a one-to-one relationship. Jesus Christ believed in the historicity of the Old Testament.”

Jeff also touches on:

• The signs of Jesus’ return.
• The connection between Noah’s prophetic ministry and Jesus’ prophetic ministry
• The importance of crossing denominational lines and uniting in Christ

Why is it important to become mature in faith?

“Genesis 6 tells us that Noah walked with God. Noah had some history of faith; his father Lamech and his grandfather Methuselah. There was a grit about his life that enables him to endure opposition in this world – it had to be because his roots were deep into the life of God.”

How to witness in a polarizing culture?  Jeff says, there’s nothing wrong with being creative or innovative in trying to reach the lost, but live out of the “simple beauty” that comes from being the bride of Christ. Know Scripture, know culture, and know who you are in Christ.
