Ron Rhodes explains his perspective on end times theology in his book, The End Times in Chronological Order.

Ron thinks studying the end times is important because God wants us to understand his word. A third of the verses in Scripture are prophecy, so it’s obviously something we should pay attention to.

“Prophecy is important to God, it ought to be important to us too.”

According to Ron, we are capable of understanding the Bible and God wants us to understand it. He wrote his book to help people understand the difficult area of end times prophecy. Through understanding it better we can realize that Bible prophecy should bolster our faith and point to God.

Ron discusses some key points from his book:

God is not done with the Jewish people.
While some Christians think that the promises made to the Jewish people have been transferred to the church, Ron contradicts. He says that it’s apparent God’s not done with Israel.

What we see today in the world  is an indication that we are living in the general season of the Lord’s coming.
Ron acknowledges that we shouldn’t set dates or timelines, but he thinks it’s clear Christ is coming again soon.

Apostasy is increasing.
According to Ron, one example of this is Christians today who say that God is not omniscient, he doesn’t know the future. He also sees those who consider the Bible just one of many holy books as committing apostasy.

The United States weakens.
Ron sees many things taking place in the U.S. that lead him to believe that the country’s time of judgement is coming. God will allow the U.S. to feel the full brunt of the sin and rebellion that the people of the country have chosen. This is especially likely because, according to Ron, a revived form of the Roman Empire will be in control, not the U.S.
