Memorial Day

on

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

Originally known as Decoration Day, this holiday originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many of us will observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades.

On behalf of all us at Faith Radio, I would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of our veterans, past and present, for their sacrificial service to our nation and to each of us.  We are forever indebted to God and you for your faithful service.

I would also like to take this moment to remember all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the cause of freedom.  We not only remember them, but their families and friends who equally sacrificed in the loss of their loved ones in this great American experiment founded so long ago.

As you make plans for Memorial Day weekend, I do hope that you will take a few moments in your own way to honor and remember those brave men and women who have died in the cause of freedom.  May God bless you and may God bless America.

To God be the glory!

In 1972, American gospel singer, Andre Crouch penned these words to a song that we now know as “My Tribute” “How can I say thanks for all the things You have done for me? Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove Your love for me. The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude. All that I am and ever hope to be,…

The influence of a single person

“You can count the apples on the tree, but who can count the apples in a seed?” … So it is with the influence of a single person! Most people have never heard of Edward Kimball, but he was the Sunday school teacher who introduced D.L. Moody to Christ.  D.L. Moody touched two continents for Christ and led thousands men, women, boys

Praying for Faith Radio

Happy 2017!  I hope that this year is filled with God’s presence and His blessing for you and your family! I hate to admit this – but I am not good at asking for prayer.  I’m happy to pray for you, but I fail miserably at asking you to pray for us.  My new found awareness came when a member of the Faith Radio Prayer Team asked me point-blank,…
