Asheritah Ciuciu is a writer, speaker, and recovered food addict. She grew up as a missionary kid in Romania and witnessed God change the lives of drunkards, gamblers, and swindlers, forever marking her with the power of the gospel.

For years she struggled with food addiction, though she didn’t recognize or understand the markers of her behavior as those of an addict until she ate almost an entire birthday cake in one sitting. Challenged to confront the lies in her life with truth, she began unraveling her eating habits and discovered a direct correlation between her lack of hunger for God and her uncontrollable appetite for food. Over the course of a year, she chronicled her experiences on her blog and helped women find comfort from God’s presence, not food. Her book, Full: Food, Jesus, and the Battle for Satisfaction, released from Moody in January 2017.

Asheritah studied English and Women’s Ministry at Cedarville University in Ohio and ministers to women in her local church and online through her blog at OneThingAlone.com. Her passion is helping women find joy in Jesus through a deeper walk with God, sharing vulnerably from her own life experiences as well as applying Scripture to daily life. She’s married to Flaviu, her high school sweetheart, and together they raise their spunky children in northeast Ohio.
