“If we want to be filled with the Spirit so that the Lord can use us to share Jesus with others, we must be willing to go where He wants us to go, when He wants us to go, and say what He wants us to say.” – And excerpt from  .

Evangelist Holly Melton joins Susie to share powerful stories of lives changed, when we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

There is no big mystery to being used by the Holy Spirit.

“I truly believe that any Christian that asks will have opportunities to share Jesus. If I choose every day to invite the Holy Spirit into my life and into my awareness of the people around me, He’ll use me more.”

Susie and Holly explore

• Why it’s important to push through awkwardness and share your faith when prompted.

• How to engage in every life season.

• How to build relational bridges. Holly suggests weaving Jesus into conversations. If He’s a regular part of your life, it makes sense to share what He’s been teaching you with others.

When speaking with atheists, Holly suggests asking them about their story. How did they grow up? When did they decide they couldn’t believe in a God? Find a point of connection and start the conversation from there.

Holly points out that tolerance doesn’t mean that every view is correct but that every view is heard.

“I would never say ‘My beliefs are my opinion,’ because I genuinely believe the Bible is true. But you can still be my friend [even if you disagree].”

Holly leaves us with these words,

“When we enter in and care for [others], we are given permission to bring Christ into the conversation and give them that hope and purpose. If I pursue knowing and loving them, they’re going to open up to me.”
