God’s kingdom is at work here, in our midst. Listen as Susie talks with Jonathan Storment and Joshua Ross about how to have an eternal impact in this present life.

Jonathan says that we can get so focused on heaven and going there that we forget we have a mission to bring heaven to earth here and now.

“Conversion becomes the moment that launches us into this lifelong pursuit of everything that God is about. We’re not just saved through a moment but into a movement. Every act of mercy has an impact on the kingdom of God.”

In their book, , Josh and Jonathan unpack several compelling ideas for incarnational living. We’re called to incarnate Jesus’ love right where we are.

“A saint is known for loving God and loving their city well. For being people who bless the city.”

Together with Susie, they look at what it means to incarnate Jesus’ love:

• What it means to take risks for the gospel.

• Practical ways to bring heaven to earth – taking prayer walks or drives around your city, inviting neighbors in for a meal, volunteering at a homeless shelter, or doing a community event with other churches can reflect a heavenly perspective.

• The truth of heaven-earth collisions.

“When we get together with people we disagree with, and we’re able to set aside petty differences because we believe Jesus is the King of the universe, we’re bringing a little of heaven to earth.”

• Why fear and perfectionism keep us from joining the celebration of Jesus.

Josh and Jonathan draw a close connection between what we believe and how we live.

“What we hope for is what we live for… Heaven is where God makes all things right.”
