By the end of college, Ben Bertsch was binge drinking every day. It was an experience he describes as “magical.” He tried his best to keep his incessant drinking a secret from his parents and eventually fell into what he refers to a “beer and…” lifestyle. This lifestyle started to severely affect his marriage and led to deceitful and even dangerous behavior.

Ben’s time in treatment lead him into a real relationship with Christ and he shares how his new life in Jesus led to his eventual sobriety. Ben also shares honestly about his struggles with fear, how alcohol would ease that fear, and how God is helping him to continually renew his mind and find real freedom.

God had plans for Ben and he now works in the recovery community helping those in need find the same hope he’s found.
