What does it mean to worship in spirit and in truth? Listen as worship leaders Ryan Williams and Taylor Ericson join us for an hour of music and prayer as we talk about the God Who saves us.

Ryan and Taylor share some of the songs from their newest CD, Sounds Like Victory.

• Here for a Reason

Simply put, this is a call to worship. “It all ties back to our local body.” Ryan points out that we’re all here to point to Jesus, and if there’s any other motivation we’re not worshipping in spirit and truth.

• Your Presence

• Risen King

“We were trying to think of a lyric that could go with our Easter services… we worked really hard to write this song. It did not come easy.” Four attempts later, the song came together. Ryan says it was a powerful moment to sing about Jesus walking from His grave. “To sing with thousands of other believers who really believe it… there’s nothing like it.”

Here are some of the lyrics:

You chose the nails that pardoned my soul
Carried my cross claimed as Your own
I just want to thank You
I just want to thank You Lord

• Wave After Wave

Ryan shares that this song came to him unexpectedly. “Some of the songs I’m most proud of are the songs that just kind of fall out. I was in the car driving, having a rough day, and this song just came out. It really had nothing to do with me.”

• Come Like the Dawn

Ryan shares the background on this song from their second album. “At the time, our church was singing a lot of songs about the presence of God – it was time for us to sing a song requesting more of the presence of God.”
