Prayer can be a calming and restful thing, but God also calls us to battle and wrestle in prayer on behalf of others. What does that look like? Why is it important to know how to use the Bible in our prayers?

Susie talks with well-known author and speaker Stormie Omartian about her book, Prayer Warrior and what it means to be a prayer warrior and intercede for the people in our lives.

One of the keys of the Christian life is to recognize that, in Stormie’s words, “prayer IS the battle.” We are called to use prayer to war against the enemy and his plans for our destruction. You might feel a bit squeamish when it comes to thoughts of battle, physical or spiritual, but as Stormie reminds us, “Satan will bring the war to us if we don’t take it to him.”

Susie and Stormie discuss:

How to pray with the Word of God
The importance of building a firm foundation of faith
Praying with Jesus’ authority rather than our own
How to stay focused and avoid distractions (phone calls, emails, a to-do list, etc.) during your prayer time
What it means to keep a prayer journal
