What are the 12 G’s every person needs? Listen as Susie welcomes business owner and trainer Bill English to the program. We talk about what it means to shore up your life in 12 specific ways – 12 G’s, as Bill calls them.

God
Before you approach the other points, a relationship with God is an absolute mandate. Bill says,

“If we are not growing and developing and continuing to become, we’re short-changing not just God’s work in our lives but we’re short-changing the next generation because now they don’t have mentors who are on fire and on the ball. This means practicing 2 Chronicles 7:14 – get up every ding-dong day and say to God, ‘What is the sin that I need to confess in my life?'”

Girl
Bill explains; every man and woman needs a support, an accountability partner.

Guns
This means protection; Bill counsels every provider to seriously consider life insurance for his family, in case something happens and they are left without financial support.

Gold
Manage your resources and finances with care and discernment.

Gears
Bill encourages every person to have an arsenal of tools, physical and spiritual, to carry through life.

Guts
Every believer needs courage to live out their faith in such a polarized society; Bill also calls us to strengthen our reconciliation skills and approach conflict resolution with a sense of determination.

Granola
Don’t overconsume the wrong things – monitor your intake and make sure you’re filling your stomach, and your day, with healthy foods and activities that will propel you forward.

Goodness
We don’t just sin by commission but also by omission. When God prompts us to do something and we ignore His nudge, we lose a chance to grow in our faith. Be active in your obedience and take every opportunity to do good.

Greatness
Serving.

Gratitude
Actively thank God for what He’s given you each day. Thank Him for concrete things in your life.

Gentleness
Bill defines this as “power restrained.” Rather than weakness, this is taking your strength and voluntarily harnessing it.

Grit
When things are coming down around your ears, do you lose heart? Or do you brace yourself and stand strong, and persevere?
