Bill talks with author Rev. Bobby Conway about his latest book, The Fifth Gospel: Matthew Mark, Luke, John…you.

Five gospels you may ask? According to Conway,

“There are five Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke John… and the Christian. But most people never read the first four.”

Bobby shares about his early life , and how he was not raised in a Christian home. This was despite having a dad who was Catholic and a mom who was Protestant, going to church usually never happened because neither parent would agree on which service to attend.

Bobby states how when he was younger he was into drugs, alcohol, and baseball. It took a teammate of his to be taken to hear the evangelist Greg Laurie of Harvest Ministries. He was listening to God, but not living the life he was supposed to. In fact after nine days of binge drinking  he decided to attend an AA meeting.

Bobby is proud to say how he has now gone 20 years without any alcohol. He is now the lead pastor of his church. His parents are both active in church and he was also able to lead his brother to Christ, while he was ministering to another person in a jacuzzi.

Bobby, despite being a pastor shares his feeling of how much he needs the church just as much as those he is ministering to.

Bobby Conway is lead pastor of Life Fellowship Church near Charlotte, NC. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Society (ThM) and Southern Evangelical Seminary (DMin) and the author of Hell, Rob Bell and What Happens When People Die?

Bobby is also the founder and host of the One-Minute Apologist. In addition, he and his wife , Heather, serve on the Family Life “Weekend to Remember” marriage conference speaking team.
