There is power in living as a man or woman of the Kingdom. On the Thursday edition of Live the Promise Lisa Bevere of Messenger International helps us unpack the concept of fierce faith in a changing world.

Lisa had a childhood bout with cancer that led to the removal of her eye. As a result, Lisa was fearful and anxious for years of her life. After she came to Christ, God told Lisa, “It’s not about you being comfortable. It’s about you bringing My comfort.” He called her to an eventual ministry to women through Messenger International. Lisa shares what she’s learned.

“I needed to speak up and speak life and strength and hope into their broken places. You create a capacity in your life for God to do something. There are a lot of people who are afraid to dream because they are acquainted with disappointment. But sometimes something wakes up inside of you and you feel this quickening of life! Fierce faith is when you start to pray in ways that actually scare you. God wants to see a people who believe – there’s a tenacity that all of us need to have, like a mama bear robbed of her cubs.”

Lisa boils the idea of fierce faith down to a few key points:

• People need to stop getting mad at one another and start getting mad at the enemy that is trying to destroy our community.

• When people study their past in trying to protect their future, what you behold is what you become. If you keep looking at your past to try to find an outlet for your future, you’ll keep repeating it.

• God is enough for you; fierce faith means holding on to that in every circumstance.

• Supernatural forgiveness strengthens our faith.
