What do playgrounds and playmates have to do with your life today? Bill Arnold and George Fraser fill you in on tonight’s episode as they unpack the reality that you are the company you keep.

The guys also welcome back Johnny “Rev” Hunter of First Community Recovery Church. If you think pastors have always had it together, Rev’s story will show you that God can do anything with anyone as he brought Rev out of a 15-year crack addiction.

Rev’s journey took him back to high school…at age 40…to get his life back on track, and he shares how a humble heart played a pivotal part in following God’s new direction for his life.

That new direction includes First Community Recovery Church: First Community Recovery Church gathered for the first time on Sunday morning, March 6, 2007, with 23 worshipers. For several years prior to this Pastor Johnny Hunter, Sr. had sensed a calling from God to reach out and minister to people suffering from addiction. Through his own experience as an addict he knew personally the pain, hopelessness, and shame that come with the disease. His 15 years in recovery had shown him the power and grace of Jesus Christ to change lives, transform thinking, give hope to the hopeless and free addicts and alcoholics from their bondage.

Rev’s story will inspire and encourage you that God can take anyone out of a life of addiction and literally transform them into a whole new person.

Tonight’s Steps:
Step 6 – Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character
Step 7 – Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings
